Trailer and Accessory Shipping & Discounts

Shipping and handling is calculated in the shopping cart basket. For motorcycle, utility, and boat trailer kits, the shipping rate tables are included in product detail pages. Truck accessories such as the chrome grill and brush guard kits and the side step (nerf) bar kits are light to medium weight and may have a flat rate amount for shipping within the U.S. Tie-down straps, eye-bolt hardware, and other motorcycle and ATV tie-down hardware is small, lightweight and often ordered in quantities of 2 or more. For small and light-weight products shipping is set per item based upon the quantity of each product.

To calculate shipping, add products to the cart using the Buy buttons and then click View Cart or Check Out. Fill in the shipping information form. The shipping and tax (if applicable) will be calculated based upon the products in the basket and the shipping destination. The amounts will then appear in the View Cart window and will be included in the Check Out total.

NOTE: Sometimes when quantities are changed or added repeatedly with the same product, the quantity based shipping calculation may need to be recalculated. Do this by clicking Continue Shopping and then View Cart and then repeat this once more OR click Change Shipping and then Submit.

Shipping and handling calculations are based upon our actual shipping costs, but due to the many variations of product weight and delivery methods, the shipping and handling that we charge may not correspond exactly with any standard FedEx, UPS, USPS, or any other published rates. Our goal is to be fair and to keep things as simple as possible. Here are some of our methods and guidelines used to calculate shipping costs.

A $2.50 minimum handling fee is added to each shippable order. This is to cover our minimum cost of shipping when only one inexpensive, small and light-weight product is ordered. This handling fee is taken into consideration when calculating the shipping per product and quantity of products.

Small and Lightweight Product Orders - For small and lightweight products, shipping calculations will in many cases take into consideration the minimum handling fee and also how many items will fit into a flat rate envelope or box. For example, if you order only 1 pair of motorcycle sling straps, the total shipping and handling is about $4.50, which is the same amount if you order 3 pair of the same item. Then when you order 4 pair, the price jumps up a couple of dollars. This is because 1 to 3 pair fit into a flat rate envelope and then at 4 pair, the motorcycle slings no longer fit within a flat rate envelope and must be in a more expensive flat rate box. Small and lightweight product orders will be shipped by USPS or FedEx Ground depending on which method is most cost effective.

For medium and heavy weight products the flat rate shipping or zone (zip code) based shipping rates are posted on the product detail pages. Medium and heavy weight products are usually shipped by FedEx or UPS Ground, in which case tracking numbers are forwarded to customers by email, typically within one business day of shipment. Very large products may be shipped by truck freight, in which case the bill of laden or freight tracking numbers are forwarded to customers by email upon shipment.

Shipping is quoted per order for quantities, which meet minimum pallet requirements for truck freight.
