PULMOR CARGO BOX TRAILER ASSEMBLY
TOOLS NEEDED
- *Cutting tool such as tin snips
or shears to cut metal strapping bands holding the trailer to the pallet.
- *hammer
- *5/16” socket & ratchet
- *(1) 8 inch adjustable end
wrenches
- *(4) jack stands
- *13/16” lug wrench
FIRST:
Secure the trailer at least
15” off the ground by means of ( 4 ) jack stands—1 on each corner--.
CAUTION: CUSTOMER MUST ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY TO SECURE THE TRAILER SAFELY
WHILE WORKING UNDER THE TRAILER WHILE FASTENING THE AXLES AND BOLTS.
THE TRAILER COULD FALL AND INJURE YOU. PLEASE TAKE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
TONGUE
REAR FRONT
**INSTALL THE TRAILER TONGUE BY INSERTING THE TONGUE IN THE CHANNEL UNTIL THE SQUARE HOLE IN THE
CHANNEL LINES UP WITH THE ROUND HOLE IN THE TONGUE. THIS IS SO THE 5/8”
CARRIAGE BOLT CAN BE INSERTED. THE SQUARE SHOULDERS ON THE CARRIAGE
BOLT SHOULD FIT SNUGLY IN THE SQUARE HOLE …TAP WITH A HAMMER TO SECURE
IT FIRMLY THEN START THE 5/8” COURSE-THREAD NY-LOCK NUT ONTO THE BOLT
UNTIL IT THREADS ALL THE WAY THRU THE BACK OF THE NUT.
***INSTALL WHEELS &
TIRES
AN EASY WAY TO TELL WHICH SIDE
IS THE OUTSIDE OF THE WHEEL IS THE VALVE STEM, IT IS ON THE OUTSIDE
OF THE WHEEL. YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE IT AS YOU ARE INSTALLING THE
TIRES.
THE BEVELED OR CONED EDGE OF
THE NUT FITS NEXT TO THE WHEEL. USE A 13/16” LUG WRENCH TO PUT THE
LUG NUTS ON THE STUDS. ONCE ALL THE LUGS NUTS ARE ON…THE TRAILER CAN
BE SET ON THE GROUND AND EACH OF THE LUG NUTS SHOULD BE TORQUED TO 70
FT.LBS. AND TIRE PRESSURE SHOULD BE CHECKED ACCORDING TO MANUFACTURER’S
SPECIFICATIONS ON SIDEWALLS OF TIRES.
******NOTE:
ALL
NUTS & BOLTS SHOULD BE CHECKED FOR TIGHTNESS AFTER 50 MILES AND
100 MILES
